Born and raised in Tokyo, Chef Hiroo Nagahara built his culinary career in the U.S., working with top chefs like the late Charlie Trotter. His journey took him from Bar Charlie in Las Vegas to staging with world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs.
In 2010, he launched the award-winning food truck The Chairman in San Francisco, blending fine dining with street food. He later opened Nomica and Bao Hiroo, bringing modern Japanese cuisine and his mother’s cherished bao recipes to life.
Chef Hiroo has earned a Michelin Star, cooked for high-profile clients, and competed on Iron Chef Showdown. Today, he consults for top restaurants while exploring new food ventures.
