Indian Chef
Chef Thomas Zacharias, also known as ChefTZac, is a pioneer of modern Indian cuisine, blending traditional flavours with contemporary techniques. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America and having worked at NYC’s Michelin-starred Le Bernardin, he returned to India to explore the country’s diverse culinary heritage across 18 states.
As Chef Partner at Hunger Inc., he helped launch acclaimed restaurants like The Bombay Canteen and O Pedro, earning national recognition including Best Chef of the Year. In 2022, he founded The Locavore, a platform championing local ingredients, sustainability, and food storytelling. Through initiatives like the Wild Food and Millet Revival Projects, ChefTZac is redefining India’s food narrative—one rooted in culture, community, and conscious consumption.
